Co-founder Nick Dalmaso leverages his accomplished and proven management background to implement Destra’s legal, regulatory, and business strategies. In this pivotal role, Nick calls upon his 20 years of experience in developing unique and innovative product structures and strategies.
Nick was a founding partner and General Counsel of Claymore Securities, and has chaired six NYSE exchange-traded funds and open-end investment companies. He has also served on 10 domestic investment company boards and chaired six NYSE exchange-traded funds and closed-end funds. Prior to Claymore, Nick served as Assistant General Counsel of Nuveen Investments and Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Van Kampen Investments. His experience also includes a stint at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
